Function
Warnung:
You've to customize the toolbar first. Right click the toolbar and select Customize.... Now you can drag the new "Show HTML" button to your toolbar.
Now you can select View > Message body > Plain text. In your inbox select a newsletter containing HTML code. The newsletter will be shown in plaintext only.
The message is bad to read in plaintext mode. I trust in the sender. So I choose to click the new "Show HTML" button or the buttons dropdown "Show HTML and remote images":
- Tabbar toolbar button
- Main toolbar button
- Messageheader button
Hinweis:
If you choose to allow remote images, this will be permanent for the chosen message! This is Thunderbirds default behaviour for remote images. Nevertheless HTML will only be allowed temp.
The message is now temporarily shown in HTML mode (without or with remote images).
If you switch to another message, it'll be shown automatically again in the default plaintext mode. It isn't necessary to switch back using the menu - so no more click is necessary.
Statusbar pane
In Statusbar you'll get an information about the actual HTML mode ("Original HTML", "Simple HTML", "Plain Text").
It's possible to switch the HTML mode in statusbar panes context menu. The options are the original ones from the application.
