Hinweis:
The 5 possible date formats are given by Thunderbird itself! The extension provides only the GUI to switch between these 5 formats.

You've to restart Thunderbird, to get the changes in the 'Date' column!

Region preferences in your Operating System

Most Operating Systems are providing options to configure the date and time format. The OS' settings interfere with Thunderbirds/ConfigDates (long and short date) settings - so you should have a look into your OS' region settings to get the best result.

Using Windows XP open the control panel and choose region settings:

Click "Cumstomize..." and choose the "Date" tab:

It's possible to choose different settings for long and short date format. In the given dropdown menus you'll find the ISO format (JJJJ-MM-TT) and others.

It's possible to configure the time format, too.

Update notes

Warnung:
If you're using ConfigDates multilang version up to 0.2.3 and you're now updating to a newer version (0.2.4 and newer), you've to uninstall the old version before installing/updating to the new version. This is because of a GUID bug in the old ConfigDate multilang version. This bug will break the extension managers update service for the multilang version up to 0.2.3, too.
