Crash nach Thunderbird-Update auf Version > 59.0

    Um Rückfragen vorzubeugen, bitten wir um folgende Angaben:

    • Thunderbird-Version: 52 (derzeit wieder installiert)
    • Betriebssystem + Version: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
    • Kontenart (POP / IMAP): IMAP
    • Postfach-Anbieter (z.B. GMX): GMX, Straro (mehrere E-Mail-Konten)
    • Eingesetzte Antiviren-Software: Avira
    • Firewall (Betriebssystem-intern/Externe Software): Windows Firewall
    • Router-Modellbezeichnung (bei Sende-Problemen):

    Habe schon länger folgendes Problem: Seit dem Update von Version 52 auf Version 59 (oder höher) crasht mein Thunderbird beim Empfang neuer E-Mails. So geht es ständig, ich kann mit Thunderbird 59 und höher nicht mehr richtig arbeiten, wenn ich dann ein Downgrade auf Thunderbird 52 mache, läuft alles tadellos.

    Zuerst dachte ich an einen Hardwarefehler, da vor zwei Wochen meine Festplatte den Geist aufgegeben hat. Ich habe dann eine neue Platte eingebaut, das System neu aufgespielt, alles neu installiert, das Problem beim Thunderbird bleibt bestehen. Also muss der Bug in der Thunderbird-Software sein. Auch bei der neuesten Beta-Version tritt das geschilderte Problem auf.

    Hallo!

    Deine Symptomatik ist eigentlich ein relativ deutliches Indiz dafür, dass Du Add-ons verwendest, die in neueren Versionen Probleme machen. Thunderbird 59 war nie eine offizielle Version - nutze also bitte die Version 60.3.3 für Deine weiteren Tests. Probiere mit der Version 60.3.3 bitte den abgesicherten Modus aus. Wenn damit alles funktioniert, dann kannst/musst Du anschließend Stück für Stück probieren welches Add-on für die Probleme verantwortlich ist. Dazu kannst Du im Add-on-Manager die Add-ons eines nach dem anderen wieder aktivieren bzw. deaktivieren.

    Hallo,

    ergänzend möchte ich erwähnen, dass es in letzter Zeit hier einge sehr ähnliche Meldungen gab, bei denen sich eigene Hinweistöne beim Mailempfang als Ursache erwiesen. Mit Standardtönen/-klängen gab es die Probleme dann nicht mehr.

    So, Add-ons wurden deaktiviert, Thunderbird neu gestartet. Habe dann von einem externen Account an mich selbst geschickt, beim Aufruf stürzte Thunderbird ab.

    Hast Du "nur" die Add-ons deaktiviert oder hast Du wirklich den abgesicherten Modus verwendet (der macht nämlich mehr als nur die Add-ons zu deaktivieren)?

    nur deaktiviert, jetzt aber auf abgesicherten Modus geschaltet.

    Nun scheint es zu funktionieren, Ton und Add-Ons sind deaktiviert. Nun lässt sich halt die Standardschriftart (Arial), nicht mehr dauerhaft einstellen.

    Vielleicht liegt es auch bei Dir pur am Ton.

    Das wäre sogar möglich, da ich trotz aktivierter Soundkarte und aktivierten Windows-Tönen keinen Start- und Abmeldeton bei Windows abspielen kann.
    Alle anderen Töne (Benachrichtigungston, Fehlermeldung,etc.) funktionieren.

    Das ist aber eine andere Geschichte.
